This holiday came from the depth of the centures. It was believed that on this day the souls of the dead returned to earth and could do much harm to people. On the eve of All Saints’ Day, ancient Celts burned bonfires, performed rituals to calm the dead, and told legends about their ancestors. Nowadays, folks in the United States, Great Britain, Scotland and other countries are happy to plunge into the fun and frightening atmosphere of Halloween. We have prepared for you all the terrible, spooky and magical stories from the book collection of our Center at this exhibition.
