Home front: Life in America during World War II

America’s role in WWII was crucial to the development of the war and it set the stage for international relations in the 20th century. But how did it influence America at home? The war drastically changed the domestic situation; everything from taxes, to gender roles, to race relations, was permanently affected by the massive strain and effort required for victory. In this history club, we explore how exactly the war altered the lives of American citizens and what new social policies were introduced as a direct result. Event is hosted by a native speaker from the United States. Please join us on Sunday, November 26 at 5.00 p.m. Meetings are held in English.
