Lecture “Masters of American Jazz” will be presented by the artist of the Broadway musical Pippin and the musical “Chicago” Svetlana Horuzhina on Monday, May 14 at 7 p.m. At the lecture, we will get to know the life and work of three “fathers” of jazz dance, innovators and choreographers who have made a real revolution in dance studios, Broadway theater scenes and Hollywood film sets. Attendants will find out who directed each gesture of Marilyn Monroe, what the traditional Indian dance has to do with American jazz, how Gwen Verdon became the Muse of two geniuses, and how the technique of jazz dance can bring back to life a man chained to bed after a terrible accident. We will review in detail the style of each Master with the use of video material. (in Russian)
