Lecture: «The history of the nuclear project»

Nuclear energy dramatically changed our world but it took many efforts to make it happen and scientists made not all of them. It took about 1600 years for the steam engine machine to go from the first prototype to industrial implementation. The internal combustion engine has overcome this path in about 80 years.   Only 15 years have passed since the discovery of nuclear fission to the launch of the world’s first nuclear power plant. We will talk about how did this project looked from scientists’ point of view. What traces these developments left in the neighboring areas? This lecture is not about physics. It is about one of the most successful startups in the history of mankind. Please join us on Monday, 30 July at 7 p.m. (in English and Russian languages)
