Presentation: «How to become a polyglot»

Is there anything more attractive than speaking several foreign languages? The common wisdom teaches us that being able to communicate efficiently is the prerequisite for a success in the modern world: from conducting negotiations to ordering food in a restaurant to just posing as a connoisseur of all things foreign, speaking (or writing) in tongues is cool. But there’s so much more to it than just the cosmopolitan gloss: polyglottism can enrich you in the most unexpected ways. During this session, we will look at the different strategies and tricks of the trade designed over the centuries to facilitate language acquisition. This will be a hands-on, interactive session where, in addition to learning, you can expect to share your own methods and showcase your skills by reciting a poem or writing in an exotic language.  Led by Alex Martya – Chevening Scholarship alumnus. On Monday, August 26 at 7p.m. (in English)
