Howard Phillips Lovecraft is an American writer, poet and journalist who worked in the genres of horror, mysticism, fantasy and science fiction, combining them in an original style. Along with Robert Howard is considered one of the founders of the fantasy genre. His work is so unique that the works of Lovecraft stand out in a separate subgenre – the so-called Lovecraft horrors. The core of Lovecraft’s creativity is made up of the myths of Cthulhu — works united by a kind of common mythology. During the life of Lovecraft, his works were not very popular, but after his death, they had a tremendous influence on the formation of contemporary horror literature and, more broadly, world popular culture.
At the meeting, we will talk about the life and work of Lovecraft his main works, about the impact he had on others, and how he is remembered today. We are waiting for you on Sunday, December 16 at 5 p.m. (in English)Registration comments powered by HyperComments
