Round Table talk: A “Citizen of a language”: Joseph Brodsky’s Life, Loves and Poetry

Please join us on Saturday, March 12 at 4p.m for a Round Table Discussion devoted to Joseph Brodsky’s oeuvre. The purpose of this round table talk is to acquaint the participants with some information about life and works of Russian-American poet and essayist Joseph Brodsky. Brodsky’s favorite notion was that literature, poetry, in particular, might play a tremendous role in an individual development, in the awakening of his self-awareness. We will examine representation of the psychological journey in Brodsky’s works and reflect upon its meaning. During our talk, all participants would be invited to share their feelings and thoughts. Nobel Prize in Literature recipient Joseph Brodsky died on 28 January 1996 in New York, USA, but anywhere in the world, we can hear his stanza: “From nowhere with love”…
