Seminar for English teachers: «Break the ice: starting out with new students»

Brace yourselves, September is coming! Starting out with a new group is always a challenge – how do we break the ice with the students of different age groups?

In this three-part workshop for English teachers we will talk about the important ingredients of a successful first class.

Daria Talanova, a freelance teacher, will show you a range of get-to-know-you activities for adult groups which make positive energies flow and establish a great rapport in the classroom.

Irina Davydova, a university teacher, will talk about the ways we can study our adult learners’ personalities and needs to teach more effectively (and make sure they always come back).

Natalia Pronina, a Senior Teacher at Britannica school, will share her tricks and tips for classroom management with kids and setting the relationship with their parents which will spare you lots of hassle later on.

All speakers hold CELTA, IH CAM and DELTA certificates, write ELT blogs and have varied experiences in both private and public education contexts. Please join us on Saturday, August 24  at 2 p.m. (in English)
