Lecture and art discussion: «Contemporary art. Is it a matter of taste?»

As part of the series of lectures and discussions about art, we will conduct second cultural and educational event entitled “Contemporary art. Is it a matter of taste?” Top arts figures become even more famous. Unknown become invisible. The world is expanding. Contemporary art is also expanding in its diversity. Only the most curious, active, eager to learn viewer, who attended the meeting, will get sight of the most trendy and new types of contemporary art. Not everything will meet your taste, but the choice is great and surely, it will be something that might amaze you. The basis of the event will be a partial viewing and discussion of the new film “Blurred Lines: Inside the Art World” (in English). Before film screening, the presenter will reveal the main chain of development of contemporary art: artist-exhibition-dealer-auction-fair-recognition. Are there opportunities for talented but unknown artists to go through this chain or it is the fate of the chosen ones? Do you have any creative potential yourself? The master’s analysis and the outcome of the discussion will answer these questions. Led by Vitaly Kupchenko – artist, researcher, author and creator of the “Graphilosophy” genre. Please join us on Friday, February 16 at 7p.m.  (Event is in Russian language)
